Kamgar Sewa – Supporting Migrant Workers

India |

In response, SAIWF developed ‘Kamgar Sewa’, a digital platform and mobile app to register unorganized migrant workers in a faceless, paperless manner. This system:

  • Stores vital data like personal details, employment history, and migration patterns
  • Helps match job seekers with employers through job listings
  • Tracks movement for timely support in disasters or emergencies
  • Connects workers to social security schemes and government benefits
  • Then the government of India took initiative for migrant workers hence the project was being closed.
  • This platform creates a strong data bridge between workers, employers, and the state — helping ensure no one is left behind in times of need.
