In the undeserved regions of District Una, Haryana, SAI-WF carried out a ground-level sanitation project to promote hygiene and public health. We installed 20 bio-digester toilets for extremely poor families, offering them:
- Access to safe and hygienic sanitation
- Improved privacy and dignity, especially for women
- A green solution where traditional sewer systems are unavailable
These toilets decompose waste on-site using an Eco-friendly process, eliminating the need for external sewage treatment. The project was successfully completed and documented, providing a model for replication in other rural and semi-urban areas.
